On July 9th, Derek Jeter reached a milestone in style. He became only the 28th player to reach 3,000 hits in his career...but he is only the second player ever to reach it with a home run and he got to do it at home . The other man who did it was Wade Boggs. He ended the monumental day going 5 for 5...not too shabby. Even for those who don't like him...they've got to respect all his accomplishments. Congrats Jeter on a major milestone!
