Creating a Stream of Passive Income

Available on Amazon.com
The world is full of numerous and diverse philosophies when it comes to making money. Of these philosophies, I would like to address one of them, residual or passive income. In my mind, residual income is the best form of long-term income. I will tell you why. For instance, if I were to author a book, I would be able to sell that book indefinitely. Even if the book was only semi-successful and I were to make a mere $5,000-$10,000 per year; that's more than I would've made had I not tried at all.

Wikipedia defines residual or passive income as: An income received on a regular basis, with little effort required to maintain it.

Creating passive income is the most ideal form of income, but often takes much work and thought. Below, I listed some examples for you.
 Examples of residual income:
Books, Music Albums, Inventions, Videos, Guides, Games, Art, Websites, etc.

All the examples given above are works that can be done once while you reap the benefits for years to come. Why work years and years and have your income stop once you stop working; when you could work for years and years and then continue making money from past endeavors.

So why don't more people work to make residual income? The answer is simple. It takes work and time spent reading and researching. Most people are too busy with their lives and full-time jobs that they do not take the time to consider it. Some are also too lazy to to do the research it takes to be successful. Others just hate reading (most of the younger generations). If it doesn't have pictures, they can't read it.
So you've probably asked yourself; can I do this? You probably even had a few ideas pass through your mind. That's exactly what this article was written for; to inspire and provoke ideas in the minds of anyone who reads it. Be creative and don't be afraid to try something new to create residual income.

Derek Jeter Ties Tony Gwynn on Hit List

On Saturday, May 12th Derek Jeter hit a single that put him in a tie with Tony Gwynn for 17th place on the all-time hit list. Jeter, who is having a stellar start to this year, could reasonably end the year in 10th place; surpassing Willie Mays.

Yankee Captain- Derek Jeter
Through the years, Derek has proved to all the skeptics that he is a hall of famer. With his 5 championship rings, 12 All-Star Appearances and 5 Gold Gloves, he has given every reason for them to save him a spot in Cooperstown.
The lovable Yankee Captain will hopefully, barring any major injuries, be with the Yankees for many more years and who knows, maybe he'll surpass Pete Rose. Hey, you can't blame a guy for hoping.

Where are the Dreamers?

Reaching for the Moon
In our modern day society, people have lost their desire to dream. Young people are consumed with technology and the next big toy. 'Decent Money' jobs have deterred the few that are driven from pursuing any goals. Even the majority of college bound 'kids' of today are just going through the motions. Our society is breeding laziness and apathy in America's youth. The majority of the teens graduating from high school are terrible readers and worse writers. We live in an audio/visual age where things cannot be imagined unless their is a visual or audio aid. America used to be the land of 'dreamers and doers' but now its turning into the land of 'what can everyone do for me' and 'I'm entitled to...'. More and more of these 'dreamers and doers' are now coming from foreigners who are coming to America to sieze the opportunities that Americans are passing up for a new cell phone or another smoke of marijuana.
Since fewer and fewer Americans are not dreaming and working toward those dreams; what will become of the United States as we know it? When will parents start helping their kids to dream big again? How long will it be until welfare becomes a monster that cannot be supported?

Countdown to Facebook

Mark Zuckerberg- Facebook CEO
Facebook is going public this Friday and investors are counting down the hours until it hits the market. Meanwhile, Mark Zuckerberg, who is only 28, is preparing to become even more wealthy than he already is. Some are skeptical of his ability to be the CEO, and some say he is beyond his years. Others don't care about his ability to run the company because they are only going to invest in the company for a short period of time. The stock is priced at around $28-$35 per share and will be available for purchase on Friday, May 18th. Will you be buying a piece of the Facebook pie?

Obama is the New King!

May- Newsweek Magazine
May's Newsweek magazine has declared Obama "the first gay president". How sad is it, that this is what it has come to. Obama is not the 43rd president of America. He is the 1st, King of America. He has been ruling the 50 states as a king, not a President or overseer that serves the people. He serves himself and his own agendas. Obama has passed more executive orders in his four years than any previous president did in eight years. He has decided to usurp the authority of congress and make this country what he wants it to be. The worst part about it, is the fact that he knows he has lots of opposition so he decided to pass the bill (H.R. 347 - very cleverly written as to disguise its intent) that prevents anyone from protesting in his presence. Anyone protesting near Obama will be 'relocated' and anyone refusing to 'relocate' will be put in jail. All these details were hashed out in congress, and it was not a pretty sight.
Lastly, Obama has become the first President to admit that he is pro-gay marriages. That is a first for America, and it's not a 'good' first. Nothing like the first to 'step foot on the moon', or the first day all the 'slaves were set free'. Those were great 'firsts' for this country, Obama, on the other hand, he has not had a 'good' first. Yet some hail him for the great strides he has made for this country. Those people must get their values from the media, probably CNN.

Really Obama?!

The 'Dream Act' is just another reason that Obama should not be re-elected. He continues to push agendas that are not in the best interest of the United States; but then what's new? This bill would grant children of illegal aliens, if they are "good" people, permanent residency in the US. It says that it is mainly for kids who graduated from US high-schools. Wait...did I read that right? You mean that I'm paying for illegals' education with my tax money and they aren't paying taxes at all? Come on Obama; give me a break...I came hear legally and I pay taxes. Stop giving handouts. You are killing our country!

Facebook is just around the corner

Facebook is just around the corner and many investors are eager to get their hands on its IPO. It is set to go public on May 18th, for around $28-$35. It is one of the largest US IPO's ever. Facebook has been valued at somewhere around $85 billion. Some are skeptical while others are excited about its potential. It is expected to jump on that opening day, no matter what the future may hold for the internet based company.
